Summer Skincare Must-Haves!

Summer is the season of sun-kissed skin. That being said, it is also the most important season to be taking care of you skin. Between the sun, ocean, pool, and increased heat, your skin goes through a lot on a daily basis during the summer. Skincare is something that I think everyone should take seriously all year long, but there are things that many people skip on that are super important, especially during the summertime. Here's my list of skincare must-haves for the summer!

Aveeno's Ultra Calming Face Cleanser has been a favorite of mine for a while. Back in December, my skin went through a horrible phase of being super dry. The skin around my lips and my eyes had literally become raw, even though I was using moisturizer and heavy duty creams on the areas. While in a spin class during my winter break from college, my sweat was burning my face so badly that I had to get off my bike and leave the class. From there, I took myself to the nearest drugstore and purchased this foaming face cleanser and night mask. Since then, this cleanser has been an absolute must in my morning and nighttime skincare routine. It's gentle, and keeps my skin bright and clear.

Daylogic's Oil Free Moisturizer has been a literal gift from the heavens. My biggest pet peeve in the summer is wearing greasy sunscreen that makes your face look like a disco ball in sunlight. However, sunscreen is absolutely essential for every day to prevent premature aging and wrinkles. Using this sunscreen with my everyday makeup (usually only a light coat of mascara) has become just another step in my morning routine. I don't have to worry about the sun's harmful rays and can still go out without looking like I just sprayed an entire bottle of SPF 1,000 on my face.

This one may be obvious, but I absolutely love Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer. The job that I currently have keeps me indoors from 9am to 6pm, so I haven't really been getting to soak  up the sun. Using this daily lotion in the shade Medium to Tan helps me look like I spend at least 3 hours in the sun everyday. I love this option way more than natural tanning actually, because I find myself getting accidentally sunburnt almost every time I try to naturally tan. If I can save myself from premature aging and burning my skin, I am going to do it.
