Traveling Essentials!

Hi guys! I'm traveling to London and Paris for the week, and I could not be more excited! In packing for my trip, I thought it would be a great idea to share some of my packing and travel essentials with you guys!

#1. Make Lists! I can not tell you how many times I've gone somewhere and realized once I'm in the airport that I forgot something that I never thought I'd forget (I once went to Turks and Caicos with my family and forgot ALL OF MY BATHING SUITS -_-). What I like to do is make a list of everything I need, from clothes, to toiletries, to accessories, and check it off my list right when I put it in my bag. Although it may seem a bit tedious, it will save you in the long run!

#2. Lay Out your Outfits! As a compulsive over-packer, this is something that I must do when packing. I like to lay my outfits out for each day beforehand so I don't run the risk of bringing a bunch of clothing pieces that I don't need. Along with this, I try to bring basic pieces that I can wear a bunch of different ways to keep me from overpacking.

#3. Bring Good Reads! When I'm on flights, you'll rarely see me watching the bad movies that the airlines offer. I love bringing good books and magazines with me that I can read and flip through to keep myself busy. Books are also perfect for the beach if your travels are taking you somewhere warm! Catch me in the airport at Hudson News stocking up for all my upcoming flights!

#4. Pack Snacks! This is something that I just recently started doing but has made such a difference in the way I feel when traveling. Instead of eating the heavily processed junk food that is offered on flights, I like to pack good and healthy snacks to munch on. Eating all that unhealthy food always makes me feel so gross,  and it's so easy to cut up some carrots and celery in a ziplock bag and toss them in your carry-on!

#5. Enjoy your Experience! No matter where your travels are taking you, remember to enjoy yourself. It can be hard to let go of stress when on a vacation from work or school, but we have breaks for a reason! Relax and don't be afraid to treat yourself to some much needed downtime. Take advantage of the places you go. Try new foods. Take lots of pictures. Live in the moment.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I'm so excited to get to Europe and explore what the cities have to offer! Look forward to more posts coming soon!
