Travel Diary : London (Part 2)

Hi guys! Here's the long awaited Part 2 of my London travel diary!

On Monday we ventured to Notting Hill and Portobello Road. It was so relaxing just exploring the neighborhoods and seeing all the little shops in the area. We stopped at a French bakery/restaurant for breakfast on Portobello Road called Maison Puget. I had avocado toast with poached eggs, and it was so delicious!

From Notting Hill we went to Kensington Palace and walked through the scenic gardens. The weather was absolutely stunning this day, we couldn't have picked a better day to hit this spot.

Harrod's was a must, so we walked from the gardens to Knightsbridge. In Harrod's we decided to stop at the adorable ice cream parlor for some gelato. We asked the waiter for some other sights in the area, to which he told us that the house from the Parent Trap was about a half mile away!

"You smell like peppermint... and pipe tobacco."

For the main event of the day, SKETCH! I was nervous to come here in fear that it would be all tourists and not a very relaxing environment, and was I wrong! The atmosphere of the Gallery (the infamous pink room) was so chill and all the staff were so friendly! For our meal, we split the "Pitchi" tortellini. I had the roasted scallops with button mushrooms and my mom had the sea bass. The food here was SO GOOD. It was definitely a splurge meal for us, but it was so worth it. Obviously we had dessert, macarons and vanilla ice cream, followed by a photoshoot in the iconic bathroom!

For our last full day in London, we had a relaxing walk along the river to Tower Bridge. This night, we ate at The Shard Oblix East. I think this restaurant and Sketch are the two must visits when in London. Oblix East is on the 34th floor of The Shard, with glass windows and an unbelievable view of the entire city.

Another delicious meal this night. We had an appetizer of the fried calamari and beetroot salad. For my entree, I had the spiced rump of lamb and my mom had the lobster. They sat ur right at the window, so we got to enjoy our food alongside the best view of my new favorite city.

Thank you guys so much for reading! Stay tuned for my Paris travel diary coming soon!
